Senior Estate Manager

A private family is seeking an experienced Senior Estate Manager to oversee three lakefront residences located near one another in Indianapolis.
This role requires a seasoned private-service professional who understands that exceptional estate management goes well beyond maintaining the properties. The ideal candidate brings a strong hospitality background and a true service heart, with the ability to anticipate the needs and preferences of the principal and family and ensure every aspect of their experience in residence is seamless.
The Senior Estate Manager will lead the household staff and overall estate operations, setting the standard for service, presentation, readiness and attention to detail. This person should have the polish and service instincts associated with a butler-trained professional, while also possessing the leadership and operational skills to manage staff, vendors, household systems and projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations across three private residences.
- Maintain 2448 hour readiness for principal and family arrivals.
- Lead residential staff and establish clear standards and accountability.
- Conduct weekly property operations meetings.
- Maintain a real-time Google-based Residential Dashboard.
- Oversee preventative maintenance, inspections and residential systems.
- Manage construction, renovation, landscaping and capital projects.
- Manage vendors, contractors, proposals and project timelines.
- Oversee seasonal winterization/summerization, docks, boat and jet ski.
- Collaborate on budgets and provide clear rationale for expenditures.
- Maintain household manuals, SOPs, property records and seasonal checklists.
- Learn the family's preferences and provide thoughtful, anticipatory service.
Qualifications
- 7 years of estate or luxury residential property management experience.
- Proven leadership of staff and vendors.
- Strong construction/project-management background.
- Multi-property experience.
- Knowledge of residential mechanical, HVAC, lighting, security and home-technology systems.
- Strong budgeting, administrative and reporting skills.
- Excellent organization and follow-through.
- Calm, professional and service minded.
- Comfortable working in a highly accountable environment.
- Flexibility during seasonal residence periods.
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday-Friday with on-call availability during the week and occasional weekend and seasonal support.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $150,000$180,000, commensurate with experience
