The position oversees assigned warehouse operations and shipping and receiving while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role serves as a point of contact for cross‑functional teams, provides direction and coaching to logistics personnel, and drives continuous improvement in operational performance, service levels, and workplace safety.
This Role Is Responsible To
- Planning and monitoring inbound and outgoing deliveries.
- Supervising logistics, warehouse, and transportation
- Organizing warehouses, label goods, plot routes and process shipments.
- Responding to any issues or complaints.
- Researching ideal shipping techniques, routing and carriers.
- Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
- Updating and evaluating metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
- Developing relationships with internal customers and stakeholders and communicating about any issues or concerns that arise.
- For material inbounds/outbounds, proactively follows up with logistics partners to confirm the status of pending transfers and communicates to Procurement and Warehouse internal partners, to support 3-way match.
- Monitoring existing logistics systems and making suggestions for improvement when needed.
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking and creative problem-solving skills.
- Team player with strong ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Lead and train SAP activities in the warehouse area.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or relevant field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong SAP usage experience
- Proficient in logistics software applications, databases/ERP/inventory systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and possess good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Ability to multi-task and exhibit attention to detail.
- Knowledge and experience with SAP preferred.
- Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills (5 WHY) desired.
