As a Reliability Management Engineer – Powertrain Cooling Power Units reporting to the Head of Powertrain Cooling Concept Development, you will conduct, coordinate, and perform various engineering duties on new and existing products and projects. The main responsibility will be Reliability Management (ReM) for MAHLE Heavy Duty (MHD) projects which include in-lab and field data acquisitions as well as data analysis and evaluation.
This Role Is Responsible To:

The main responsibility will be Reliability Management (ReM) for MAHLE Heavy Duty (MHD) projects which include in-lab and field data acquisitions as well as data analysis and evaluation.
This Role Is Responsible To:
- Prepare and conduct in-lab, proving ground, and over-the-road data acquisitions (i.e. strain, accelerations).
- Analyze and evaluate data from proving ground and road measurements -utilizing ReM tools and software.
- Derive / verify customer test specifications by applying MAHLE’s ReM methodology.
- Document results and prepare comprehensive internal and external communication (reports and presentations)
- Support regional engineering teams regarding reliability management (ReM)
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- 3 to 5 years in automotive, industrial equipment, aerospace, or related manufacturing environments.
- In-depth knowledge of reliability management methodologies
- Proficiency in Weibull statistics and Weibull based testing
- Experience with systems control methodologies and technologies and laboratory experience
- Strong knowledge of test equipment and methods including data acquisition and transducers
- Experience in one of the following software/hardware systems preferred (LabView, LMS Test.Lab, LMS Tecware, IMC Cronos, LMS SCADAS)
- Basic knowledge of quantitative methods such as finite element methods and computational fluid dynamics.
- Experience with heat exchanger design/development is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
