Salary: $60k - $70kThe Payroll Administrator is responsible for accurate and timely processing of union employee payroll by calculating wages, deductions, overtime, and bonuses, maintaining employee records, ensuring compliance with payroll laws, and addressing payroll-related inquiries, often working closely with the HR department and Operations to update employee information and manage changes in employment status and pay rates in accordance with the applicable Collectively Bargained Agreement (CBA).Role and Responsibilities:Coordinate and process the weekly wage payments of approximately 1,300 union employees via four (4) payroll entities (i.e. companies)Manage union employee tax forms and ensure appropriate taxes are applied to each employee using a working knowledge of state and federal taxes (deeper research as needed on local and other taxes)Reconcile & prepare weekly and monthly benefit payments due to various industry associationsMaintenance and updating of employee information within the payroll processing systemCoordinate with union representatives to resolve union employee inquiries regarding payroll mattersProcess manual payments required to reverse or correct payroll errors as neededMaintain complete and accurate notes related to weekly processing changes Upkeep of employee records and administrative duties, as needed Prerequisite Skills:Solid and proven working knowledge of payroll processingProficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) or related softwareExcellent organizational and time-management skills with a proven ability to meet strict deadlinesProfessional communication and interpersonal skills (verbal & written)Aptitude for critical thinking and problem-solvingAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityStrong work ethic/dedication, commitment, and reliabilityPreferred Skills:Working knowledge of ADP Enterprise HR or other HRMS/Payroll systemsPrior experience with processing Collectively Bargained Employee payrollEducation and Experience:Bachelors in Business Administration, or related field or 3 years of proven work experience in a payroll processing roleAll full-time, salaried employees are eligible for employee benefits (Medical, Dental, Prescription, Life Insurance, LTD Insurance, 401k Plan with matching contributions, paid time off, and voluntary accident, critical illness, and wellness plans.
