- Performs Audiology Testing including tympanometry and immittance testing, pure tone audio testing, and speech discrimination.
- Reports audiology findings to provider in timely manner.
- Maintains audiology testing equipment with good stewardship and assists the team in the ordering and stocking of testing supplies.
- All duties will be performed per scope of practice and clinic policy.
- Assesses and documents physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients at clinic.
- Prepares for and assists with office procedures.
- Establishes treatment priorities based on medical and nursing diagnosis.
- Documents nursing intervention and patient response.
- Accurately prepares and administers medications as directed by provider.
- Documents and reports on adverse effects of medications.
- Properly documents immunizations and medications.
- Makes referrals to other providers and facilities as directed by the provider.
- Triages and returns phone calls effectively and in a timely manner.
- Reports test results to patients with instructions from provider in a timely manner.
- Use the Electronic Medical Record system according to established guidelines.
- Monitors, records dates/outdates in sample medication closet.
- Responsible for keeping exam rooms clean and stocked, replenishing supplies and meds as indicated.
- Provides patient and family education at their level of understanding.
- Organizes workload effectively to accomplish patient care in a timely manner.
- A graduate from an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa (or) a graduate from an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse able to work in the state of Iowa.
- Required to be current in BLS (Basic Life Support) by the standards of the American Heart Association.
- Will be required to show proof of having completed Mandatory Reporter course at the time of hire or attend within 6 months of the start date.
- Must adhere to all training requirements as mandated by Federal, State, and Professional licensure and regulatory standards.
