Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on cost reduction and quality improvement.
- Conduct contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Manage procurement activities using ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS to streamline purchasing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, logistics, and quality management to ensure supply chain continuity.
- Perform supplier evaluations, root cause analysis of supply issues, and implement corrective actions to enhance supplier performance.
- Maintain comprehensive records of contracts, purchase orders, and procurement documentation in accordance with procurement management standards.
- Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks to proactively adjust sourcing strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement management within manufacturing or supply chain environments.
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms for purchasing and materials management.
- Demonstrated ability in contract negotiation, category management, and supplier management.
- Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR), logistics, production planning, and quality management principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
- Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning), procurement processes, and sourcing strategies.
