Press Brake Operator

Our company is seeking a Press Brake Operator.

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Press Brake Operator to operate and set up press brake machinery to produce high-quality metal components according to blueprints, work orders, and production specifications. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and measuring instructions.
• Select and install appropriate tooling and dies for each job.
• Program and adjust machine settings, including bend angle, back gauge, and tonnage.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and angle gauges.
• Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Identify equipment issues, quality concerns, or material defects and report them to the appropriate supervisor.
• Meet established production schedules while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a press brake or similar metal fabrication equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Basic understanding of metal types, thicknesses, bend allowances, and forming processes.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and measurements.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic machine issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
