We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Foundry Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks associated with the production of metal castings. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with tools and machinery. This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain foundry equipment.
- Operate forklifts, skid steers and loaders.
- Operate power tools.
- Utilize measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers for quality control.
- Assist in setup and adjustments for various production processes.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and materials to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and resolve any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in a manufacturing or foundry environment preferred.
- Familiarity with operating machinery is highly desirable.
- Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
- Experience using precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers is an advantage.
- A commitment to safety practices and procedures in the workplace.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
