Work Description
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot programs for our 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills.
- Translate technical blueprints into G/M-code, select appropriate tooling, and collaborate with operators to ensure precision and efficiency utilizing CAM software.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T specifications to determine optimal machining paths.
- Calculate spindle speeds and feed rates to maximize tool life and reduce cycle times.
- Assist machine operators with initial setup and prove-outs to prevent collisions and errors.
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers and gages to ensure conformance to tight tolerances.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred).
- 3–5 years of hands-on CNC programming experience.
- Proficiency in G/M-code using MasterCam and/or Fusion 360.
- Advanced knowledge of CNC machining.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and instructional drawings.
- Mechanical skills/aptitude and ability to use precision gages/tools.
- Comprehension of machine tolerance.
- Basic math and computer skills required.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. up to 2/3 of workday
- Other physical activity will include standing, climbing, stooping, bending, reaching, and frequent use of hands and fingers
