What You'll Do
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers
- Complete basic inspections and report potential issues to supervisors
- Follow maintenance checklists to ensure work is completed accurately
- Troubleshoot and repair issues identified during inspections or driver reports
- Support experienced technicians during repairs and diagnostics to build technical skills
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Assist with tool and equipment management
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
- Work as part of a team to keep Magnum’s equipment safe and operational

Job Requirements:
We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined individual with an interest in diesel equipment, maintenance, and repair. Ideal candidates have:
- Mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, tools, and equipment, including repair and maintenance
- Experience using or willingness to learn diagnostic software and electronic systems
- Understanding of DOT regulations, safety standards, and shop procedures
- Knowledge of transportation and fleet operations is a plus
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with shop employees and supervisors to resolve repair and operational issues
- A team-oriented mindset focused on safety, quality, and efficiency
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Diesel Engine Specialist certification or related technical degree preferred, but not required
- 2 years of related experience preferred, but not required
- Training available for entry-level technicians
- CDL preferred, but not required
