Magnum is hiring a Logistics Account Specialist/Carrier Development Specialist to build carrier relationships, secure capacity, and negotiate freight rates. This role is essential to ensuring freight moves efficiently while maximizing profitability.

What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing carriers to secure capacity
- Source and onboard carriers to support daily, weekly, and monthly freight needs
- Negotiate freight rates to maximize profitability
- Assign freight to carriers based on availability, lanes, and operational needs
- Diversify carrier base to ensure coverage across key lanes and markets
- Track shipments and provide updates through carrier and tracing systems
- Provide carriers with accurate load details to ensure successful pickup and delivery
- Maintain and update carrier profiles and account information
- Communicate regularly with carriers and internal logistics team members
- Develop efficient communication processes to optimize carrier utilization

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as TruckMate (TMW) preferred
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position is performed in an office or operations environment, where employees work with computers, phones, and communication systems throughout the day. The role requires extended periods of sitting or standing, as well as continuous communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams. Employees must be able to maintain focus and accuracy in a fast-paced setting, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds and the ability to travel as needed.
