The Installation Division Lead is responsible for managing the construction and installation execution of turnkey systems provided by Magnum Systems. This role ensures the seamless coordination of mechanical, electrical, and controls contractors to meet project delivery expectations-on time, within budget, and to the quality standards of our brand. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience in industrial equipment installation and project site management, capable of translating engineered solutions into successful field execution.

Position Summary

This role ensures the seamless coordination of mechanical, electrical, and controls contractors to meet project delivery expectations-on time, within budget, and to the quality standards of our brand. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience in industrial equipment installation and project site management, capable of translating engineered solutions into successful field execution.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, and Engineering to understand project scope, site requirements, and customer expectations.
- Develop installation budgets and solicit bids from contractors (millwright, electrical, mechanical, rigging, controls).
- Write and negotiate subcontractor agreements in alignment with project scopes and legal/risk parameters.
- Create and manage installation schedules, integrating them into overall project timelines.
- Serve as the field leader for installation activities, from site mobilization through commissioning support.
- Oversee and coordinate multiple subcontractors on-site to ensure safe, high-quality, and timely work.
- Resolve issues in real-time and escalate as needed to appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Build a reliable network of millwrights, electricians, and other trade partners across regions.
- Evaluate and qualify new vendors to maintain quality and performance expectations.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure availability, pricing competitiveness, and responsiveness.
- Ensure compliance with Magnum Systems' and customer-specific safety protocols.
- Perform job site audits, quality checks, and post-installation reviews to confirm specifications are met.
- Implement corrective actions and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Participate in project handoff meetings with Sales and Engineering.
- Provide installation input during proposal development to ensure feasibility and accurate quoting.
- Collaborate with the Service Team to support training, startup, and warranty fulfillment.
- 5 years of experience in construction management, industrial installation, or field service operations.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatic conveying, packaging equipment, or similar systems.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and hold vendors accountable to performance KPIs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in reading mechanical and electrical drawings; understanding of jobsite logistics.
- Willingness to travel to project sites (estimated 25–50%).
- Experience with ERP/CRM integration in project tracking.
- OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety credentials.
- Prior experience in the food, chemical, cement, or bulk solids industries.
- Familiarity with commissioning/startup processes and lifecycle service models.

Work Environment
- Hybrid Setting: Combines office work and production floor visits.
- Exposure to Noise, Heat, & Machinery: Requires awareness of safety hazards and the ability to function effectively in industrial conditions.
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): May include safety glasses, helmets, gloves, and steel-toed boots when on the shop floor.
- Walking & Standing: Frequent movement around manufacturing floors, sometimes for extended periods.
- Climbing: May need to use stairs or ladders to inspect equipment or elevated work areas.
- Bending, Stooping & Kneeling: Occasionally required to examine machinery, troubleshoot issues, or check installations.
- Clear Vision & Depth Perception: Essential for reading blueprints, monitoring equipment, and ensuring safety compliance.
- Hearing & Verbal Communication: Needed for interacting in noisy factory environments and leading meetings.
- Fine Motor Skills: May occasionally need to handle tools, operate machinery controls, or demonstrate technical concepts.
