Job Description
Magnum Induction is seeking a full-time Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team of dedicated professionals. As a Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on machines, motors, conveyors, pumps, three-phase electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and supporting equipment
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime
- Interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, motor control circuits, and automation systems
- Perform mechanical repairs including gearboxes, chains/sprockets, belts, couplings, and rigging as needed
- Maintain, test and repair three-phase power systems including variable frequency drives (VFDs), contactors, overloads, and associated wiring
- Assist with installation, commissioning and start-up of new machinery or process upgrades
- Maintain spare parts inventory; order replacement parts; coordinate with vendors
- Operate heavy shop equipment (forklift, overhead crane, etc.) as necessary
- Ensure work is completed in compliance with safety policies, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), electrical codes, and company procedures
- Clearly collaborate and communicate with operators, managers, and engineering to ensure key objectives are met
- Maintain clear maintenance records and log all work in a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Weekend support may be required in case of major breakdowns
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production environment
- Demonstrated experience working on three-phase electrical systems (installation, troubleshooting, repair)
- Strong mechanical aptitude: motors, gearboxes, conveyors, drives
- Ability to independently plan, execute, and complete maintenance projects from start to finish
- Ability to read/troubleshoot electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, motor control circuits
- Experience with preventive maintenance, and repairing electrical/mechanical equipment
- Familiarity with PLC systems (programming is a plus)
- Possess basic welding/fabrication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (trade school, certificate or apprenticeship is a plus)
- Familiarity with heat treating equipment, processes, or induction systems is highly desirable
