Project Manager – Electrical (Data Center) - TFO Scope Focus

Magnum Electric is hiring a Project Manager to lead electrical execution on a major data center project with a primary emphasis on the TFO scope. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, documenting, and driving all work required to support system readiness, turnover packages, and commissioning-related deliverables—while maintaining schedule, budget, safety, and quality standards.
- Own planning and execution of TFO scope from early readiness through final turnover
- Build and manage turnover plan (readiness milestones, area/system-based sequencing, handoffs)
- Coordinate with GC/client, commissioning agents, and internal field leadership to meet energization and turnover dates
- Manage system walkdowns, punchlists, and issue resolution with clear tracking and accountability
- Drive required documentation: turnover packages, test records, inspection forms, checklists, as-builts, and closeout items tied to TFO
- Coordinate required testing support (as applicable): scheduling, access, resources, vendor coordination, and documentation capture
- Ensure the field is building/installing to current drawings/specs; drive RFI and submittal workflows that impact readiness
- Lead communication and reporting: weekly status, constraints, look-aheads, and “ready/not ready” reporting by area/system
- Cost control and forecasting for the TFO scope: labor, materials, vendors, rentals, and subcontractors
- Manage vendors/subs tied to TFO deliverables (testing support, specialty equipment, labeling, etc.)
- Support change management: identify scope growth, document, price support, and track approvals
- Run meetings and maintain logs (constraints, turnover, punchlist, procurement, change events)
- Champion safety, quality, and compliance on all TFO-related activities
- Support project closeout: warranties, O&M manuals, final documentation, and final acceptance
- 5–10 years in electrical construction project management
- Experience on commercial/industrial projects; data center experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills—able to manage high-volume documentation and deadlines
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams (field crews, vendors, client, commissioning)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook); familiarity with Procore/Bluebeam or similar a plus
- Valid driver’s license; able to work on active jobsites and travel as required
- Direct experience with turnover, commissioning coordination, system walkdowns, punchlists, energization readiness
- Familiarity with equipment typical to data centers (switchgear, UPS, PDUs, RPPs, busway, BMS/controls coordination)
