Magnolia Wellness & Psychology is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Psychometrist/Psychological Testing Assistant to support our evaluation team through assessment administration and report preparation.
This position is ideal for an individual with training and experience in psychological assessment who enjoys both direct client interaction and behind-the-scenes report preparation.
Position Overview
This hybrid role consists of roughly:
- 40% Psychological Test Administration
- 60% Report Writing and Assessment Documentation
The Psychometrist will work closely with our licensed psychologist and play an essential role in the evaluation process while working within clearly defined professional boundaries.
ResponsibilitiesAssessment Administration & Scoring
- Administer psychological, cognitive, academic, behavioral, and developmental assessments under the supervision of a licensed psychologist
- Score assessment instruments accurately and efficiently
- Document behavioral observations during testing sessions
- Maintain organized testing materials and assessment records
Report Writing & Documentation
- Enter assessment scores into report templates
- Prepare test data summaries and score tables
- Summarize developmental, educational, medical, social, and family history information obtained from client interviews and records
- Draft structured summaries of templated report sections for psychologist review
- Format, organize, and proofread evaluation reports
- Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and professionally written
This role does not include:
- Interpretation of assessment results
- Clinical diagnosis
- Case conceptualization
- Treatment recommendations
- Independent clinical decision-making
Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Psychology, School Psychology, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Special Education, or a closely related field
- Training and/or experience in psychological assessment
- Strong written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to accept and implement feedback effectively
- Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Experience administering psychological, psychoeducational, developmental, or behavioral assessments
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults in clinical or educational settings
- Experience administering the Childhood Autism Rating Scale, Second Edition (CARS-2) and/or the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R)
- Familiarity with autism, ADHD, and/or learning disability evaluations
- Experience with report writing and clinical documentation
