What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract School-Based Mental Health Clinician position at Magnolia Wellness & Psychology, LLC?
Magnolia Wellness & Psychology is seeking licensed clinicians to join our school-based mental health contractor network to provide counseling services to students in grades K–12 within Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) as part of an on-demand school-based mental health services contract.
This is a contract, on-demand position with Magnolia Wellness & Psychology. Although Magnolia Wellness & Psychology is based in Roswell, GA, this position is for clinicians who are available to provide services within GCPS. Assignments may occur at school locations throughout Gwinnett County and will be requested on an as-needed basis by the district.

We are looking for compassionate and reliable mental health professionals who enjoy working with children and adolescents in a school setting. The ideal clinician is flexible, organized, culturally responsive, and comfortable supporting students with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, social, developmental, and school-related needs including but not limited to ADHD, anxiety, depression, emotional/behavioral disturbance, social dysfunction, anger management, trauma, school-related issues, developmental disabilities, and identity concerns.

Applicants must be licensed in the State of Georgia. Eligible clinicians may include:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
- Licensed Social Worker / Licensed Master Social Worker/Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LSW/LMSW/LCSW)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Psychologist
Essential Job Duties
Contract clinicians may be responsible for the following:
- Provide direct counseling services (i.e., individual, group, and family) to K–12 students referred by Gwinnett County Public Schools.
- Provide crisis-related support within the scope of the role and offer other school-based mental health intervention as needed.
- Consult with school personnel as appropriate
- Participate in district-required professional development or onboarding
- Collaborate professionally with Magnolia Wellness & Psychology, GCPS staff, school administrators, and designated district contacts.
- Provide services in-person, virtually, or through a blended model depending on district needs.
- Deliver services during assigned school hours and in accordance with school-specific schedules.
Requirements & Preferred Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Hold an active professional license in the State of Georgia.
- Have experience or strong interest in working with K–12 students/school-aged populations.
- Have experience supporting diverse and high-need populations.
- Be comfortable providing school-based mental health services.
- Be available during school-day hours based on assigned placement.
- Strong documentation and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while staying connected to agency and district expectations.
