Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counseling Associate to join our dynamic Christian mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support to individuals across diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will contribute to delivering high-quality psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management services in various settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, and through telehealth platforms. Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure client safety during acute episodes or emergencies
- Engage in case management activities including patient care coordination, medical documentation, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant medical records
- Utilize telehealth technology to deliver clinical counseling services remotely, ensuring accessibility for clients with diverse needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on behavioral health cases involving autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, PTSD care, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and gender issues counseling
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding standards, CPT coding for billing purposes, and relevant legal regulations to ensure accurate documentation and compliance
Requirements
- Proven experience in behavioral health settings
- Strong skills in psychotherapy modalities including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, person centered and analytical therapies.
- Experience working with adolescents, teens, grouops and individuals of ranging mental health needs.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols for mental health emergencies
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems and medical documentation standards aligned with HIPAA regulations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients effectively across diverse populations through telehealth or in-person sessions and intra office communication.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and compassion while maintaining confidentiality

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
