Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse
- Assist with procedures such as suturing, tube feeding, and airway management
- Provide support in critical care situations, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Document patient care activities accurately in medical records
- Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Participate in hospice care initiatives, providing compassionate end-of-life support
Experience
- Previous experience in acute care or critical care settings is preferred
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and protocols is an advantage
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively assess patient needs
- Experience with behavioral health practices is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining professionalism
