TITLE: Restorative CNA
REPORTS TO: Nursing Management Team
Non-Exempt
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The primary purpose of the position is to provide rehabilitative care to individuals recovering from illnesses or injuries. RNAs help patients regain their ability to perform daily activities such as bathing, eating, and dressing so they can return to their normal life with minimal assistance.
ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform resident transfers, bed mobility, positioning/ range of motion.
- Perform general strengthening exercises.
- Ensure correct placement of restorative devices/ equipment.
- Assist in turning or repositioning resident as needed.
- Assist resident with cueing for eating and swallowing
- Assist with ambulation for gait retraining, strengthening and maintenance of functional mobility
- Provide supportive documentation for MDS purposes.
KEY CHARACTERISTICS:
- Highly focused and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions.
- Excellent communication skills written in oral.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a CNA in the state of Georgia.
