**The District reserves the right to close the recruitment regardless of the date or length of the posting period** Start date: 8/20/26 Work Schedule: 7:30 am - 3:00 pm (Subject to change by District) The person hired for this position can be either non-bilingual or bilingual in Spanish. If non-bilingual, the person hired will be placed on Range 28. If bilingual in Spanish, the person hired will be placed on Range 30. DEFINITION Under the supervision of the Director of Student Services, Coordinator of Special Education, School Site Administrator and/or Designee, assists a certificated teacher and/or School Psychologists in providing support to behaviorally-challenged individuals or small groups of students; will be assigned to various students and schools on an as needed basis. Perform related work as necessary or required.
Requirements / Qualifications
Required Experience: Six (6) months experience as a Para-Educator or some prior experience in working with severely disabled or special needs students, including autism; Some experience organizing and directing youth activities and programs; Intensive behavior intervention techniques (preferred). Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent; Post-secondary Education (preferred). License and Other Requirements/Certificate: California Driver's license; Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency; Completion of "Applied Behavior Analysis" training (preferred).
This position is only open to current Classified Magnolia School District employees. This includes Permanent Classified, Substitute Classified, and Classified Confidential. TESTING BY APPOINTMENT ONLY: This position requires passage of a written test (Behavioral Interventionist) no later than 7/28/26. Testing will be held on the following dates and times: 7/16 @ 9:00 am; 7/16 @ 2:00 pm; 7/21 @ 9:00 am; 7/21 @ 2:00 pm; 7/22 @ 9:00 am; 7/22 @ 2:00 pm; 7/28 @ 9:00 am; 7/28 @ 2:00 pm. The written test will be held at the Magnolia School District Office (2705 W. Orange Ave., Anaheim, CA 92804).
