Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Construction General Laborer for Section 3 to support various phases of construction projects. Prior construction site experience and familiarity with a broad range of tools and techniques are highly valued.
Duties
- Assist with general labor tasks including material handling, site cleanup, and setup
- Support skilled trades such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, and concrete finishing
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Assist with installation tasks such as door hanging, cabinet installation, tile laying, and glass installation
- Perform demolition, framing, drywall work, caulking, plastering, and stucco application as needed
- Support concrete forming, finishing, and masonry work to ensure quality standards
- Assist with fabrication tasks including trim carpentry and restoration projects
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in construction or related trades preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated individuals
- Familiarity with bluebeam software or construction management tools is a plus
- Knowledge of construction estimating, inspection procedures, or remodeling projects is advantageous
- Experience operating heavy equipment or working with schematics is beneficial
- Skills in plumbing, electrical work, welding, flooring installation, or tile laying are desirable but not mandatory
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately
- Proven ability to work safely on construction sites with attention to detail in all tasks performed
