Commercial Ag Relationship Manager

We are currently seeking applicants for a Commercial Ag Relationship Manager - this is a hybrid position.
Qualified Candidates will be responsible for:
- Responsible for soliciting, negotiating, underwriting, and coordinating the closing of agricultural loans along with consumer, construction, and mortgage loans.
- Maintain compliance with the Bank's policies, procedures and related laws and regulations.
- Provide portfolio maintenance and loan administration in accordance with bank policies.
- Develop new business by creating and executing an on-going business development plan that garners new business from both prospective and existing customers to include both lending and deposit opportunities.
- Make sound credit decisions by examining applications and supporting documentation, estimating creditworthiness, and calculating repayment risk.
- Complete loans by monitoring collection, verification, and preparation of loan documentation
- Responsible for generating business through the effective use of the Company’s marketing strategies.
- Responsible for structuring, presenting, and selling the loan to customers.
- Responsible for collection action on all loans approved.
- Promote quality loan customer service and related activities.
- Engage in business development opportunities.
- Develop good customer relationships and market/cross-sell other banking products to enhance the existing relationship.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Other projects/duties as assigned by supervisor.
Candidates must also have knowledge in:
Thorough knowledge of:
- Business development, credit underwriting, and loan structuring
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Negotiation, sales, and closing skills.
- Loan documentation requirements and government regulations.
- Applicable banking regulations and how they relate to Magnolia Bank’s lending policies and procedures.
Ability to:
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
- Execute interpersonal and negotiation skills (both internal and external)
- Maintain confidential business relationships.
- Exercise time management and organizational skills.
- Analyze and understand financial and cash flow analysis.
- Make sound credit decisions based on information collected on applicants.
- Obtain results that enhance profits.
- Organize activities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Enter Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Business, Finance, Agri-Business, Ag Econ, degree preferred).
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and email software and use of the Internet.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Must be an intelligent and articulate individual who can serve as an effective member of the loan officer team.
This position reports to the Chief Banking Officer.
