About the role : We are seeking a Supplier Development Engineer to support magniX’s groundbreaking electric propulsion programs. In this role, you will identify and engage world-class suppliers, ensure technical compliance, and serve as a key interface between internal teams and external partners. Your work will directly impact quality, cost, and delivery performance across our supply chain. Primary Responsibilities:Supplier Engagement: Lead identification, technical assessment, and onboarding of suppliers for electric motors, power electronics, and battery energy storage systems, ensuring alignment with magniX design requirements.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Program teams to resolve component quality and delivery issues while driving continuous improvement initiatives.Capability Assessment: Conduct in-depth technical evaluations of supplier processes and capabilities to meet magniX timelines and quality standards.Process Optimization: Partner with suppliers to implement cost-effective improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce waste.Data Analysis & Reporting: Track and analyze technical, delivery, and quality metrics, providing timely reports to support senior management decision-making.Risk Management: Develop and maintain supplier evaluation systems, ensure compliance with product and process standards, and drive corrective actions when needed.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.3 years of experience in supplier development and management within electric motor, power electronics, or battery energy storage system supply chains.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in electric vehicle and/or aerospace supply chain ecosystems.Strong knowledge of root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies (8D, FMEA, SIPOC).Familiarity with AS9100 or equivalent quality management systems and aerospace product/process validation per AS9102.Ability to travel 10–25% of the time, often on short notice.
