About the role: The Contracts Manager is a hands-on individual contributor responsible for owning the full lifecycle of contracts across commercial and government programs. This position focuses on direct execution including drafting, negotiation, administration, and compliance. This role is critical to ensuring contractual commitments are aligned with program execution as magniX scales into production.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Contract Execution
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with customers, suppliers, and partners
- Ensure contracts are clear, executable, and aligned with business objectives
- Own contract lifecycle from initial drafting through execution and closeout
- Government Contracts
- Manage government contracts in compliance with FAR/DFARS
- Support proposal reviews, negotiations, and contract administration
- Ensure proper flow-down of requirements into supplier agreements
- Contract Administration
- Track deliverables, milestones, and contractual obligations
- Maintain accurate and organized contract documentation
- Support audit readiness and compliance requirements
- Change Management
- Lead contract modifications, change orders, and equitable adjustments
- Ensure alignment between contractual changes and program scope, schedule, and cost
- Risk Management
- Identify contractual risks and escalate where appropriate
- Partner with internal stakeholders to mitigate risks early
- Cross-Functional Integration
- Work closely with Program Management, Supply Chain, and Finance to align contracts with execution
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field
- 7 years experience in contracts management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate preferred.
- Strong experience in aerospace, defense, or government contracting environments
- Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS
- Proven ability to independently draft and negotiate complex contracts
Location: Applicants must be willing and able to commute to magniX's location in Everett, Washington.

Salary Range: $140k-$200k
