Job Title: R&D Technician

About the Team:
The Colorado Springs R&D team develops and supports high-performance oscilloscopes while pushing the boundaries of measurement and test technology.
The team needs technical support with prototype turn-on, instrument functionality, calibration, troubleshooting, and failure analysis. You will work with scripts and automated processes to evaluate prototype performance and provide technical feedback to the R&D team.
You will analyze test data to identify failures and, when possible, determine the root cause of failure modes. More complex technical failures will be escalated to and owned by the R&D engineering team.

Responsibilities:
As an R&D Technician, you will collaborate with R&D Engineers and NPI Technicians to:
- Work in an Electrical Static Discharge (ESD)-controlled environment.
- Calibrate and run automated tests on prototypes.
- Troubleshoot electronic prototypes and identify potential failure modes.
- Run scripts and automated processes to determine failure modes and communicate findings to the R&D team.
- Execute automated performance characterization tests on prototypes across temperature and humidity conditions.
- Collect, analyze, and communicate characterization data.
- Support prototype turn-on, instrument functionality, calibration, and failure analysis activities.
- Document technical issues and test results accurately and effectively.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, NPI, or a related technical environment, or equivalent experience.
- General knowledge of electronics and electronics manufacturing.
- Experience with electronic and mechanical assembly, including use of torque drivers.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate technical issues effectively.

Pay Transparency:
- This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position is $33.00/hour - $33.00/hour W-2.
