Position Details:

Position Summary:
The Precision Manufacturing Technology Center in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA produces high-precision machined components used in advanced electronic measurement and manufacturing applications.
The Manufacturing Operations Coordinator supports mechanical inspection processes through both manual and automated inspection operations. This role includes processing precision components, performing visual inspections under a microscope, and operating specialized inspection equipment to ensure quality standards are met. Success in this position requires excellent attention to detail, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to work accurately with small, precision parts.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process precision components through manual and automated inspection operations.
- Perform microscopic visual inspections to verify product quality and compliance with specifications.
- Operate precision inspection and measurement equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Handle and inspect high volumes of precision-manufactured components while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Utilize precision pin, thread, and ring gages to verify component dimensions.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and follow established quality procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical coursework or college education is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic proficiency with Windows PCs and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to interpret engineering instructions and specifications, including GD&T.
- Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
- Experience performing high-volume parts inspection and handling.
- Experience conducting microscopic visual inspections.
- Experience using precision pin, thread, and ring gages.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating automated inspection equipment.
- Experience using a Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
- Additional college or technical coursework in manufacturing, engineering technology, or a related field.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay Rate: $25.36/hour (W-2)
