Mortgage Manager

We’re seeking a driven Mortgage Sales Manager to launch and grow a new mortgage division. This player/coach role combines personal production with leading and developing a small team of Mortgage Loan Officers. The ideal candidate brings strong referral-building skills, hands-on leadership experience, and preferably a background in small or regional banking.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Mortgage Loan Officers to meet team and individual production goals.
• Recruit, onboard, and train mortgage sales talent.
• Maintain an active personal pipeline while driving local business development.
• Build strong referral relationships with realtors, builders, and community partners.
• Represent the bank at community and industry events to expand market presence.
• Ensure accurate, compliant loan execution through collaboration with underwriting and operations.
• Use performance metrics and market insights to guide sales strategy.
• Foster a positive, accountable, customer-focused team culture.

Qualifications

• 5 years of successful mortgage sales experience with strong personal production.
• Leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of mortgage products, lending guidelines, and secondary markets.
• Proven ability to build referral networks and community partnerships.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
• High integrity, customer focus, and ability to balance leadership with production.
• Experience in a small or regional bank strongly preferred.
