Role Description & Responsibilities
We are looking for a execution-focused retail sales expert to drive national retail expansion for Magnifique. This person will be directly responsible for opening, managing, and expanding strategic retail partnerships across key national and specialty accounts. We are specifically looking for someone with an established network and proven ability to aggressively open doors, close retail partnerships, negotiate assortments, and scale sell-through with major retailers.
Retail Expansion & Account Acquisition:
- Identify, pursue, and secure new retail partnerships across national, regional, and specialty accounts
- Leverage existing buyer and merchant relationships to accelerate placement opportunities
- Own the full retail sales cycle from pitch through onboarding and launch
- Drive expansion into big-box, department store, club, and premium specialty retail channel
Strategic Account Management
- Build long-term partnerships with key retail buyers, planners, merchants, and category managers
- Lead line reviews, assortment planning, pricing negotiations, promotional calendars, and annual business planning
- Develop account-specific growth strategies focused on revenue and sell-through performance
- Negotiate terms, forecasting, inventory planning, and merchandising opportunities
Sell-Through & Retail Performance
- Monitor retail performance metrics including sell-through, margins, inventory turns, and promotional ROI
- Collaborate internally with operations, forecasting, marketing, and product development teams
- Drive retail marketing initiatives, launches, and merchandising programs to support account growth
- Travel for buyer meetings, trade shows, market weeks, and retailer presentations as needed
Execution & Leadership
- Operate with urgency and accountability in a highly entrepreneurial environment
- Be highly action-oriented and capable of independently driving opportunities from concept to close
- Bring market intelligence, competitive insights, and retailer feedback back into the organization
- Help shape broader wholesale and retail channel strategy as the company scales
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of direct experience in retail sales, national accounts, wholesale sales, or strategic account management within kitchen appliances, cookware, kitchenware, or adjacent premium consumer appliances categories
- Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling accounts with major retailers
- Existing buyer and merchant relationships at leading retailers is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success negotiating assortments, pricing, promotions, and annual retail programs
- Strong understanding of retail economics, margin structures, merchandising, and sell-through analytics
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, founder-led environment with high ownership expectations
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $150,000–$200,000 commission
