What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diagnostic Radiologist position at Magnificus Corporation?
IMMEDIATE OPENING for a full-time Diagnostic Radiologist to support Naval Health, Jacksonville, FL.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)
- Education: Graduate from a residency training program in Radiology approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or the Committee on Postdoctoral Training of the American Osteopathic Association or those Canadian training programs approved by the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada or other appropriate Canadian medical authority.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support
- Experience: Possess a minimum of twelve (12) months experience within the preceding thirty-six (36) months as a Diagnostic Radiologist.
- Board Certification: Possess and maintain board certification in Diagnostic Radiology. Meet current Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements (compliance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act of 1992, Public Law (P.L.) 102-539) including documentation of continuing medical education.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine
Specific Tasks:
The HCW shall provide services within the scope of the clinical privileges granted by the commanding officer, the applicable duties provided in the basic contract, and the following:
- Mammography guided breast needle-wire localization, Ultrasound guided thyroid gland fine needle aspiration, Ultrasound guided breast biopsy, Ultrasound guided breast fine needle aspiration, Ultrasound guided breast cyst aspiration, and Mammography reading.
- Diagnose, treat, and counsel patients as indicated.
- Prescribe and dispense medications as delineated by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
- Provide technical assistance and instruction to other medical staff in accordance with the basic contract Core duties.
