What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Handler - 1st Shift Woodstock, IL position at Magnetic Technologies Corporation?
The Production Handler is responsible for handing and movement of all production related materials around the shop floor, including performing tasks in shipping/receiving and dock functions. Work includes using fork trucks, hand trucks, computers and any other equipment needed to perform the job.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions of Position:
- Coordinate with the floor supervisor and production control to stage and move material to the appropriate asset for production purposes.
- Deliver raw and customer owned material to stock locations and process the stock moves as needed.
- Moves material to and from any machines in the plant.
- Pick up recycled material and scrap from various locations in the plant and dispose of as required.
- Operate, degreasing the loading and unloading equipment for the mills as needed.
- Fill out paperwork completely and accurately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records including but not limited to: stock tags, NCR tags and any other related ID tags
- Assist in 5S and organizational tasks to keep the shop in order
- Assist in shipping and receiving duties as needed to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Provides support to the Maintenance, Engineering, Operations and Production Supervisors on all production assignments.
- Move material between buildings for shipping purposes as needed.
- Load and unload trucks when needed to assist in timely dock operations.
- Keep supervisor apprised of all unresolved and/or potential problems that would negatively affect production schedules.
- Perform shipping and receiving functions as needed for timely transactions.
- Works in other departments and/or miscellaneous assignments as directed.
1st Shift Hours: 7:30AM - 3:30PM
