Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, driven Facilities & Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations in a high-tech manufacturing environment supporting CNC machining (Star, Eurotech, Murata, Nakamura), Arburg injection molding, and automated production systems. This role is responsible for ensuring maximum equipment uptime, facility reliability, and continuous improvement across all maintenance functions.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with industrial automation systems (including Beckhoff controls), preventive/predictive maintenance, and team leadership in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Reliability
- Lead all maintenance activities for CNC machines (Star, Eurotech, Murata, Nakamura), Arburg molding equipment, and automated production lines
- Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs
- Minimize downtime through root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives
- Implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies
Automation & Controls
- Support and troubleshoot systems using Beckhoff PLCs and motion control platforms
- Oversee maintenance of servo systems, robotics, drives
- Partner with engineering on system upgrades, retrofits, and new equipment installations
Facilities Management
- Manage building systems (HVAC, compressed air, electrical distribution, cooling systems)
- Ensure facility compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Coordinate contractors and service providers
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians
- Establish performance metrics (MTBF, MTTR, uptime)
- Drive accountability, safety culture, results and technical growth within the team
Continuous Improvement
- Implement Lean, TPM, and 5S initiatives
- Optimize spare parts inventory and CMMS usage
- Identify cost-saving and efficiency improvements
Qualifications
Required
- 5 years of maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining (Star, Eurotech, Murata, Nakamura) and Arburg injection molding systems
- Experience with PLC-based controls (Beckhoff preferred)
- Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and controls issues
- Experience with CMMS systems
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Experience with EtherCAT networks, servo systems, and robotics integration
- Lean /Six Sigma experience
Salary Range
*$90,000-$115,000/yr with benefits (medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401k with match, paid time, etc)
