What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate — Magnet Kit Assembly & Shipping (Full-Time) position at Magnet Baron LLC?
About Magnet Baron
We are a small, family-owned ecommerce company in Southlake, Texas. For more than a decade we have shipped precision magnets and miniature magnetization kits to hobbyists, professionals, and makers worldwide. We are growing rapidly and our team is tight-knit.
About the role
We are hiring one full-time Warehouse Associate to help us pick, pack, receive, and ship every working day. Many of our products are tiny, valuable, and easy to mis-count if you are not paying attention. We want someone who likes that kind of work and takes pride in doing it well.
What you will do
- Pick and pack customer orders (small magnets, kits, and packages of varied sizes)
- Assemble magnetization kits to spec, counting, sorting, and labeling. Strong hands and dexterous fingers are a real asset here.
- Receive incoming inventory and verify against purchase orders
- Build and reorganize shelving as we scale
- Keep your workspace and the warehouse clean and orderly
- Bring issues, mistakes, and ideas to the team early. Small problems caught early stay small.
- Lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Package and label outgoing shipments accurately
- Other warehouse duties as assigned. We are a small, cross-trained team, and from ownership on down everyone gets their hands into kit making, picking, packing, receiving, organizing, labeling, and counting magnets as the day requires.
Who fits this team
We are a small team and every contribution shows. We pay above the local market because we hire carefully and keep the people who do excellent work. We expect everyone, including ownership, to pull their weight every day. If you take pride in your work and want to be surrounded by people who do the same, you will thrive here.
If you have hobbies that train your hands, such as miniatures, model building, jewelry, knitting, electronics, fine art, or instrument repair, please mention them in your application. Those hands tend to do this work very well.
Important safety note, please read before applying
Our warehouse contains a high density of small, powerful neodymium magnets. These magnets can interfere with implanted medical devices. If you have a pacemaker, implantable defibrillator (ICD), insulin pump, cochlear implant, deep brain stimulator, or any other active implanted medical device, this workplace is not safe for you and we are not able to hire for this role. We mention this up front out of respect for your safety and your time.
