We are seeking an experienced SAP Production Planning (PP) Lead with strong functional expertise and hands-on delivery experience to support SAP implementations of manufacturing planning and execution processes. This role will serve as a functional lead, working closely with business stakeholders, manufacturing teams, and technical counterparts to drive scalable, integrated SAP PP solutions across plants.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supportSAP PP solution design, configuration, and deployment across manufacturing operations
- Act asfunctional team lead for SAP PP initiatives, guiding junior consultants and coordinating delivery activities
- Own and optimize production planning, and execution scenarios
- Manage and enhancePP master data, including:
- Bills of Material (BOMs)
- Routings
- Production Versions
- SupportProduction Order Management, including creation, execution, confirmations, and settlements
- Drive and supportMES integrations, ensuring seamless data flow between shop floor systems and SAP
- Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and IT teams to translate business requirements into SAP solutions
- Participate in solution testing, defect resolution, cutover planning, and go-live support
- Provide clear documentation, training materials, and knowledge transfer to business users
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams and stakeholders across levels
Required Qualifications
- 10–15 years of hands-on SAP Production Planning (PP) experience
- Proven experience as ateam lead or functional lead on SAP implementations (managing 1-10 team members)
- Strong expertise in:
- SAP PP withMRP, shop floor control, planning strategies
- PPMaster Data (BOMs, Routings, Production Versions)
- Production Order Management
- Demonstrated experience integratingSAP PP with MES systems
- Excellentcommunication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution design capabilities
- Experience integrating SAP PP withdetailed scheduling tools
- Exposure toSAP Quality Management (QM) integration with PP
- Working knowledge ofSAP Plant Maintenance (PM) processes
- Experience supporting or leadingdata migration activities (master and transactional data)
- Experience in multi-plant or global manufacturing environments
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global teams
- Results-driven and comfortable operating in both strategic and hands-on roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred)
