This position is ideal for experienced manufacturing professionals who enjoy leading by example, troubleshooting production issues, training team members, and driving results.
What You'll Do Lead the Production Team
- Serve as the primary leader on the production line during your shift
- Provide direction, coaching, and support to operators
- Train new employees and assist with ongoing employee development
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and strong communication across shifts
- Help create a positive and safety-focused work environment
- Champion safe work practices and ensure compliance with company safety procedures
- Identify and address potential safety concerns before they become incidents
- Support quality standards and ensure products meet customer expectations
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts
- Monitor daily production goals and line performance
- Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate resources to minimize downtime
- Track key production metrics and communicate results to leadership
- Assist with equipment changeovers, startup activities, and process improvements
- Help ensure efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment
- Participate in problem-solving activities and process improvement initiatives
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts
- Help identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance
What We're Looking For
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years of manufacturing, production, or industrial experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize work and solve problems independently
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule
- Previous experience as a Team Lead, Lead Operator, Shift Lead, or Supervisor
- Experience training employees
- Continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma experience
- Experience using manufacturing systems such as Oracle or similar ERP systems
- OSHA safety training or related certifications
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may include noise, heat, and moving equipment
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
