Job Responsibilities:

Position Summary

The Shared Trade & Purchasing Systems & Data Specialist is a cross‑functional role supporting both Trade Compliance and Purchasing. This position focuses on building and maintaining data‑driven systems to improve tariff mitigation, compliance automation, and strategic sourcing decisions.

The role aligns with existing Purchasing Systems & Analytics capabilities while extending support to Trade Compliance automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support development and maintenance of a trade classification database using SAP
  • Interface with Customs Brokers and the Trade Compliance FTA Analyst to support data accuracy
  • Maintain and enhance Magna International Power BI dashboards related to Purchasing and Trade
  • Perform data analysis to support tariff mitigation and sourcing strategies
  • Assist Purchasing with data‑intensive activities related to supply chain optimization
  • Support automation of manual Trade Compliance and Purchasing processes

Qualifications

  • Strong data analytics skills (Excel, Power BI; SAP experience preferred)
  • Entry‑level candidates welcome; trade compliance knowledge a plus
  • Ability to work across Trade Compliance and Purchasing teams
  • Strong attention to data integrity and process improvement
