Position Role & Overview:
The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting the full range of functions to ensure a positive, compliant, and engaging workplace. This position partners closely with managers and employees to provide guidance, support, and coordination in areas including recruitment, onboarding, benefit administration, employee relations, and safety compliance. This HR Generalist helps foster a culture that reflects Magline’s values while ensuring HR practices align with organizational goals and legal requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws across a multi-state workforce, including labor law postings, reporting requirements, and policy enforcement.
  • Support full-cycle recruitment efforts, including posting positions, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and assisting with the selection process.
  • Conduct and coordinate employee onboarding and orientation to promote engagement and reinforce Magline’s culture and values
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, EAP, and 401(k); serve as the main contact for benefits inquiries and assist with annual enrollment.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring compliance with document retention and privacy standards.
  • Serve as a resource for managers and employees on HR policies, performance management, and employee relations matters.
  • Assist with investigations, address workplace concerns, and support conflict resolution in alignment with company values and procedures.
  • Coordinate and document stay interviews, exit interviews, and separation processes.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations; assist with incident reporting and follow-up actions.
  • Support remote and multi-state employees, helping to ensure consistent HR practices across all locations.
  • Promote a positive and work environment by balancing business needs with employee well-being and organizational culture.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience; manufacturing or industrial environment experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of employment law, HR policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience administering employee benefits and supporting open enrollment processes.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety programs and OSHA compliance preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-state or remote employees is a plus.
  • Payroll processing experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and effectively support employees and leaders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Paycor or similar HRIS systems a plus.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and integrity in handling confidential information.
