Job Summary
Magikid Palo Alto is seeking Robotics instructors to teach different levels of VEX robotics curriculum, including robot building, coding, competition mentoring. The learning center serves students aged 6-16(GK-G10) and locates in Palo Alto - Los Altos - Mountain View area.
These positions are suitable for local college students and high school seniors who have experience in VEX or FIRST robotics and genuinely love working with younger students or STEM educators who can teach in after school hours.
Responsibilities
- Instruct small group classes or 1:1 session using provided teaching material and lesson plans.
- Participate in lesson planning and collaborate with other teachers.
- Lead day camps during school breaks.
- Foster a safe and positive learning environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Record students learning experience and performance; provide constructive feedback.
Qualifications:
- Must to have hands-on experience with OLLO, Wonder Robotics, VEX robotics or similar robotics educational systems to build models and programming.
- Able to use TinkerCAD, OnShape, etc. to teach 3D modeling and printing.
- Interested in STEM subjects and solving engineering problems.
- Able to explain principles of engineering standards to young students.
- After school program, summer camp coaching and teaching experience is a plus.
- Authorized to work in the US and must pass the background check.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
