Duties
- Supervise and lead a team of machinists in daily operations, providing guidance and support.
- Oversee the setup and operation of various machining equipment including lathes, milling machines, and presses.
- Ensure adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards throughout the machining process.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure product specifications are met.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop efficient assembly line processes.
- Train staff on proper machining techniques, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report on performance to upper management.
- Proficient in assembling components using various machining tools and techniques.
- Experience with Fanuc programming for CNC machines is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of quality control processes and methodologies.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ability to fabricate parts from raw materials according to specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to machining operations.
