Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas, ensuring all surfaces are hygienic and well-maintained.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste according to safety guidelines.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other essentials to ensure continuous availability.
• Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify areas needing attention or repair.
• Use specialized equipment for industrial cleaning tasks, including floor scrubbers and buffers.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or minor repairs when necessary.
• Follow safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning practices.
• Experience with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies enhances effectiveness in this role.
• Previous work in facilities maintenance or porter roles provides valuable insight into building upkeep.
