What you might work on:
- Build and manage robust pipelines of top technical talent across research, engineering, and infrastructure roles
- Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to deeply understand role requirements and candidate profiles
- Design and execute creative sourcing strategies for both high-volume and hard-to-fill roles
- Leverage multiple sourcing channels (LinkedIn, GitHub, publications, conferences, communities, etc.) to identify exceptional candidates
- Engage with candidates who have experience in AI, deep learning, and large language models
- Develop outreach that authentically represents Magic’s mission and technical challenges
- Track sourcing metrics and continuously optimize processes for speed and quality
- Strong technical fluency: you’ve either worked in a technical role yourself or can confidently assess technical talent. Some of our team used to be engineers and we code solutions when needed
- Context Switching: one week we will need 4k unique outreaches from you. Next week, we will need you to map esoteric research papers from PhDs 2 years out. You should be able to do both easily.
- Deep sourcing expertise, with experience identifying and engaging technical candidates at scale. Or prove that you can do this.
- Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and ideally large language models. We read all the latest research papers and attend the top AI-conferences on behalf of Magic
- Strong communication skills and the ability to tell Magic’s story in an inspiring way
- Proven ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities
- Experience in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment
- Previous experience recruiting for AI, ML, and niche technical roles
- Hands-on familiarity with sourcing tools, data enrichment, and automation
- Network within the AI or ML community

- Annual salary range: $150K - $260K (depending on experience)
- Equity is a significant part of total compensation, in addition to salary
