Position Overview
The Teacher’s Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging learning environment for children. This role involves helping implement daily lesson plans, supervising children during activities, and assisting with classroom organization and routines to ensure each child’s developmental, emotional, and physical needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and conducting age-appropriate educational and creative activities.
- Supervise and engage children during playtime, learning, meals, and rest periods.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
- Help with set-up and clean-up of classroom materials and activities.
- Support positive behavior guidance and model appropriate interactions.
- Observe children’s progress and share insights with the Lead Teacher.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Ensure compliance with all daycare policies, licensing regulations, and safety procedures.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and center events as required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
