Position Overview
As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will play an important role in creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children. You will help guide children's growth while building strong relationships with families and colleagues.
Our teachers help create a positive classroom culture while supporting children's emotional, social, and developmental needs.
Lead Teacher Responsibilities
- Ensure the health, safety, and supervision of children at all times
- Maintain classroom ratios and supervision standards
- Support a positive and nurturing classroom environment
- Assist with planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities
- Lead activities such as storytime, centers, music, and play-based learning
- Encourage children to follow classroom rules and routines
- Monitor children's development and progress
- Communicate professionally with parents and leadership
- Uphold Magic Memories policies, procedures, and core values
Position Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Early Childhood Education (infant, toddler, or preschool age).
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. Candidates with a High School Diploma are also considered; pay will vary based on experience.
- CDA Pathway: $0.50/hour increase upon CDA enrollment, with an additional $0.50/hour after completion.
- Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues and build positive relationships with families.
- Genuine passion for teaching and supporting children’s growth and development.
- Flexibility, organization, and a positive attitude in a dynamic classroom environment.
