Overview
The ideal candidate will have a background in pastry preparation & baking. This role involves crafting high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods while ensuring adherence to food safety standards. We are looking for someone with a passion for culinary excellence, strong attention to detail, creativity and the ability to innovate while maintaining consistency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal and quality.
- Package finished products, maintaining freshness and presentation.
- Assist in food production and preparation processes, collaborating with the kitchen team to meet demand.
- Deliver products to our six restaurants.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Ensure that all equipment is sanitized.
- Manage inventory, assist with order supplies, and minimize waste.
- Assist with Catering function preparation.
- Uphold high standards of food handling practices throughout all stages of production, packaging & delivery.
Requirements
- Basic baking skills & knowledge within the food industry.
- Cake decorating, baking techniques, and food preparation.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for handling ingredients.
- Attention to detail in all aspects of food production.
- Culinary school training preferred, but not necessary.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Prior experience in catering or restaurant settings is desirable, but not necessary.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- A passion for creating delicious pastries and desserts that delight customers.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
