Night janitorial position

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Night Janitorial Associate to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment during overnight hours. This role involves performing comprehensive cleaning tasks across various facility areas, ensuring sanitation standards are met, and supporting overall maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding safety protocols while delivering exceptional custodial service. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums.
• Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a secure environment for yourself and others.
• Conduct sanitation procedures to maintain hygiene standards in high-touch areas like door handles, light switches, and communal spaces.
• Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks involving cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Operate various custodial equipment including floor buffers, scrubbers, and cleaning carts efficiently and safely.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs needed or hazards identified during nightly rounds.
• Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities, safety checks, and equipment usage to ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following all safety protocol guidelines.
• Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness records.
• Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset when interacting with staff or visitors if needed.
• Prior experience with floor care such as buffing or polishing is a plus; familiarity with facilities maintenance is beneficial.

Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
