Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting vehicles, equipment, and/or goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage various types of autos, trucks, including semi-trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and refrigerated trailers, as well as heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles such as semi-trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and refrigerated trailers to transport materials and goods.
- Load and unload vehicles and/or freight using appropriate equipment, ensuring safe handling of all cargo.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and delivery status as required by regulations.
- Follow all local, state, and federal transportation laws while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
- Utilize manual transmission skills when necessary for specific vehicle types.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience with various truck types including semi-trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and refrigerated trailers is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading freight is a plus.
- Strong understanding of handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
