About the position:
Maggie Sottero Designs is seeking an experienced and talented warehouse manager. The person in this role oversees operations at our warehouse to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed accurately and according to schedule. The duties of the warehouse manager include preparing schedules for Warehouse Associates, training new employees on how to use machinery and monitoring compliance with safety standards.
Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Audit and report inventory discrepancies and locate missing items.
- Responsible for all inventory flow and compliance with other internal departments
- Manage and inventory and warehouse items.
- Inventory building needs and monitor building safety.
- Responsible for all shipping and confirming accuracy with local and international requirements.
- Manage warehouse team members, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment.
- Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse.
- Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executives and other team leads.
- Monitor Team members’ workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees’ performance.
- Complete annual reviews for all team members.
- Schedule monthly meetings for all team members (one on one meetings).
- Communicate with other departments to ensure gowns are shipped in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain working relationships with outside vendors.
- Collaborate and facilitate to make sure items are shipped accurately and on time for bridal shows.
- Hold employees accountable for assigned work, have critical conversations to improve performance and discipline accordingly.
Qualifications:
- 10 Years’ experience in warehouse management preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Management or Logistics preferred, not required.
- Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to set goals, motivate and manage conflict.
- Good project management skills, including problem-solving and strategic planning abilities.
- Exceptional time management and organization skills.
- Able to multi-task with multiple projects and tasks.
- Able to prioritize to make sure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping, inventory control practices and logistics.
- Comfortable using inventory management software; Great Plains or Sage experience preferred.
- Physical strength, stamina and ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
- Self-accountability and dependability to complete work responsibilities on time and accurately.
- Ability to execute quickly and pivot to change requirements to complete tasks.
