Design Quality Assurance Specialist – Bridal Gowns
Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
About the Role
We are seeking a detail driven Design Quality Assurance Specialist to oversee the return, inspection, and evaluation process for bridal gowns. This role blends customer communication with hands-on gown handling and highly skilled design and construction assessment. Candidates with backgrounds in apparel design, bridal construction, tailoring, or technical garment work will thrive in this position.
Your expertise in gown structure, fabric behavior, and design details will be essential in determining gown condition, identifying quality issues, and supporting our design and production teams with accurate, reliable feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for bridal boutiques regarding returns, documentation, and shipping coordination
- Receive, open, and process returned bridal gown shipments
- Conduct detailed technical inspections of gowns, evaluating construction quality, alterations, structural integrity, fabric condition, and any signs of wear or damage
- Document findings clearly and accurately in our internal systems
- Maintain organized records and inventory of returned garments
- Collaborate closely with internal design, QA, and production teams when gown issues or construction concerns arise
- Manage multiple active returns simultaneously, maintaining thorough, consistent documentation and ensuring timely resolution
Qualifications
- Background in fashion design, garment construction, technical design, alterations, or tailoring
- Strong computer literacy and precise data-entry skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to evaluate garment quality objectively
- Ability to lift and move boxes containing gowns
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Compensation
Compensation varies based on experience, technical ability, and demonstrated proficiency in bridal gown construction and design evaluation.
