We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Facility Manager to oversee the
maintenance, safety, and operational functionality of seven restaurant locations. This
role is responsible for managing preventive maintenance, vendor relationships,
emergency repairs, and capital projects for 5 restaurant locations.
Responsibilities
Oversee maintenance and repair operations across multiple restaurant locations.
Supervise and train the in-house handyman and cleaning crew to maintain
performance standards and safety compliance.
Track all equipment repairs by unit (kitchen equipment, HVAC, etc.) to determine
cost-effectiveness and whether to repair or replace.
Maintain accurate documentation of brand, model, and serial numbers for all
critical equipment at each location.
Approve all repair and maintenance invoices prior to payment, ensuring accuracy
and budget compliance.
Collect and maintain W-9 forms and proper documentation from all contractors
and vendors.
Conduct regular facility inspections for cleanliness, functionality, safety, and
regulatory compliance.
Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
Manage vendor contracts, service agreements, and contractor performance.
Coordinate capital improvement projects and oversee renovations or remodels.
Maintain comprehensive maintenance logs, service records, inspection reports,
and compliance documentation.
Work closely with restaurant managers to prioritize needs and minimize
operational disruptions.
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in facility or property management, ideally in the
restaurant or hospitality sector.
Strong understanding of commercial building systems and kitchen equipment.
Experience managing and training in-house maintenance and cleaning staff.
Ability to track repair history and make informed decisions on equipment
replacement vs. repair.
Strong attention to detail in documenting equipment and reviewing invoices.
Familiarity with collecting and managing vendor documents, including W-9s.
Excellent communication, vendor negotiation, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in maintenance tracking systems and productivity software (e.g.,
Excel, Google Workspace).
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions
Field-based role requiring regular travel between locations.
Occasional evening or weekend availability for emergencies or project
supervision.
May involve physical activity including lifting, inspecting, or working in
commercial kitchen environments.
