Injection Molding Set-Up Technician (2nd & 3rd Shift)
Location: Lockport, IL
Shifts Available:
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Mon–Fri)
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Mon–Fri)
About the Role

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be setting and pulling molds, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting production teams to keep operations running smoothly.
Note: This is a local position only – relocation is not offered.
What You’ll Do
- Safely set up and pull molds (including hydraulic cores).
- Set up and maintain auxiliary equipment.
- Assist in machine startups and support process technicians with alarms.
- Troubleshoot and debug auxiliary equipment issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance on molds.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of injection molding set-up experience.
- Technical Skills: Forklift and overhead crane operation, basic processing knowledge, mechanical aptitude, basic math skills.
- Safety Mindset: Ability to work safely around molding machines and equipment.
- Independence & Communication: Can work independently, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Language: Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good hearing to detect machine alarms.
- Strong mobility for high physical activity (standing, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing ladders up to 6 ft).
- Visual acuity to detect changes in plastic during production.
- Physical strength to torque molds using a ratcheting motion.
