What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Service Advisor position at Magellan Financial & Insurance Services, Inc.?
Sales Service Advisor
A Client-First Advisory Role — Without the Sales Treadmill
What if your advisory career could finally revolve around clients—not constant prospecting, quotas, or starting from scratch?
At McLean Tax Advisory Group, we’re building something different. This role is designed for an experienced financial professional who wants to step into an existing book of loyal clients, deepen relationships, and deliver meaningful planning outcomes—while positioning themselves for long-term leadership.
Compensation & Structure (Up Front)
- Base Salary: $65,000 – $80,000
- Performance Bonuses: Clear, achievable incentives tied to client service and retention
- Environment: Collaborative, process-driven, and growth-oriented
The Opportunity
You’ll take ownership of an established book of business and become a trusted advisor to clients who already value the firm. Your focus will be on planning refinement, proactive service, and relationship continuity, not hunting for your next lead.
If you’ve felt underutilized in your current role—or boxed into endless sales cycles—this is a chance to do your best work.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Serving as the primary advisor for an existing client base
- Reviewing, refining, and executing financial plans aligned with client goals
- Acting as a strategic partner to clients through life, tax, and retirement decisions
- Collaborating with senior advisors and leadership to elevate service standards
- Contributing to a team culture focused on consistency, clarity, and trust
Who This Role Is Built For
You’re likely already licensed, experienced, and capable—but may feel:
- Tired of prospecting overshadowing real planning
- Capped by unclear advancement or vague “future opportunities”
- Ready to grow into leadership without jumping firms every few years
CFP® is strongly preferred, but not required. What matters most is judgment, professionalism, and a client-first mindset.
Why McLean Tax Advisory Group
- Established clients instead of starting from zero
- Intentional growth, not chaos
- Leadership runway for the right person
- A firm that believes great advisors are built through structure—not burnout
